The Store Planner role has three distinct responsibilities that include Store Planning, Allocation and Demand Planning.  The Store Planner is responsible for the strategic management of seasonal & basic assortments, inventory optimization, and actionable analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

Store Planning

  • Monitor and analyze store and web performance across multiple departments to help determine assortment and allocation strategies
  • Utilize proprietary reporting platform to analyze large amounts of data at both an aggregate and a granular level to answer questions and identify opportunities & risks.
  • Review historical sales trends and strategically react to these changes in business.

Allocation

  • Allocate merchandise at style/color/size level based on an assortment strategy using historical and current trend data
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Merchant Planners and Merchandising to align on allocation and merchandise strategies
  • Implement allocation strategies that support financial plans, brand objectives and strategic vision, resulting in effective allocations and efficient use of inventory.
  • Participate in the continuous effort to improve allocation methods and strategies within Blue Yonder (allocation system).

Demand Planning: BASICS Only

  • Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels in the stores, online, and the distribution center to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Conduct a monthly Open-to-Buy meeting with cross functional partners. Review monthly sales and inventory, sales forecasts, out of stocks, and inventory levels at the style level, and execute any needed strategies.
  • Maintain style/store/size model stocks and size selling curves for an OMNI channel business.
  • Optimize OMNI channel assortments through style and size rationalizations and business analysis.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of prior retail/allocation experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Merchandising, Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain)
  • Strong fundamentals in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Retail Math
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating cross functionally
  • Experience with Blue Yonder or replenishment system a plus
  • Adaptable with the ability to work with shifting priorities
  • Uses analytics to problem solve
  • Good communicator and comfortable presenting to all levels
  • Accountable and works with a sense of urgency
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Detail orientated

Requirements & EEO Statement

The salary range for this position is $64,000 to $80,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
